This soup was part of a collection of no cook recipes--this made it much easier to prepare ahead.

The photo at left is part of the ice cream shoot I did for Mothering magazine. The chicken on the right is one of the first meat photos I shot, and after cooking it, I added the lemons, herbs and onions to give it some color and coordinate it with the other recipes in the article.

This was definitely one of the tastier photo shoots I've done, as well as one with simpler preparation. I cooked styled and shot these recipes.
lemon sorbet
Another shot from the ice cream shoot for Mothering magazine. This proved a challenge due to the fact that I usually shoot the actual, edible foods that are represented, so I had to work fast so that the ice creams and sorbets didn't melt.
winter soups
The soup at left is a white bean and vegetable soup, and the one at left is a curried pumpkin soup. We shot this at Mothering publisher Peggy O'Mara's house, which was cozy and warm and a perfect setting for winter soups.
vegan truffles
For a photo shoot on allergen-free foods, I decorated, styled and shot these soy truffles for Mothering magazine.
tea and sodas
For a collection of homemade sodas, I mixed, garnished and shot a variety of sodas, teas, and juices at a local hotel courtyard. It was a real challenge to keep the drinks looking cool and not too sweaty in the desert sun!
lavender ice cream
For this photo shoot for Mothering magazine, I prepared, styled and shot lavender ice cream.The delicate lavender color was so lovely, but a little plain. I added the mint garnish and a sprinkle of lavender blossoms to add interest without overpowering the subtle hue.
